I believe that Technology has a higher purpose than just changing our way of life!
Last month, I completed 26 years in the IT industry. Good many years that gave a fair idea of how Technology works and how it makes us work. About 18 years ago, I embarked on another journey, seeking answers about life and about the world. Over the years, I read many spiritual books and posts and found the answers amid numerous interpretations.
At one point, I realized that there were several similarities between technology and spirituality. I would like to share some:
1. Wireless network allows you to communicate with others using radio wave frequencies. In spirituality, there are invisible soul networks where we communicate through energetic vibrations.
2. Internet search engines get you answers from data that is publicly available for consumption. But the key is the question. The right question gets you the precise answer. Now, the same concept exists in the spiritual world. When you have questions about life, you can release the question to the universe to answer. The universe has its own way of answering. For instance, it can take you to a path which leads you to the right book or person. Or receive a popup of the right blog or video on your device. The more precise the question, the more relevant the answer.
3. A blockchain is a shared, immutable digital ledger that securely records transactions across a distributed network and can be accessed only after an approval. In the spiritual world, there are Akashic records which hold all the information related to your life and the rest of the world. No one can delete any part of this data. It is immutable. And you can access it only if your higher self or your spiritual guides approve it. It is like the consensus feature in blockchain.
4. There are ‘If conditions and loops’ in software programming languages. There are a set of predefined paths which are chosen based on the condition it meets. Similarly, a set of predefined life paths is available to you based on your karma and life purpose. You get to decide which path you want to take. If you take the wrong turn, you enter a loop and start all over.
There are many more. Now, the most recent and interesting evolution is that of AI. As we all know AI has been creating chaos, but at the same time, merging into our lives at high speed without any speed bumps. A colleague of mine said, ‘AI is omnipresent’ and my mind froze hearing it. I knew at that point that AI is trying to teach us something… but what?
Most popular statements include - ‘AI is going to replace humans … at work, at schools, at home,…’
‘AI has entered the world of creativity, competing with … humans.’
‘AI is overthinking just like … humans’
‘AI lies … like humans’
‘AI has deleted all the data … making mistakes like humans’
‘AI is unreliable and erroneous … like some humans’
‘AI apologizes after making a mistake but continues to make the mistake. It chooses not to correct itself … like some humans’
Here’s the most serious one - ‘AI has a mind of its own’
Now … if I compare this to the spiritual realm, then our souls represent AI. We have a lot of mixed feelings and opinions about AI. But do we know it’s true purpose? Here is what I think –
What AI is doing to us today in the physical realm is what we are doing to the Universe in the spiritual realm. AI is a mirror that is showing our flaws.
Let me elaborate.
We are all part of the cosmos which is powered by energy and matter. The life force that is balancing the cosmos, is the Universal Consciousness or the Supreme Soul Energy. And then, there is the Dark Energy in the cosmos which is constantly expanding the cosmos causing changes to its composition which in turn triggers an imbalance.
The Supreme Soul Energy is represented by emotional intelligence and possesses the Universal Knowledge on how to rebalance the cosmos. It comprises of the Core which is the nucleus filled with Love energy, and surrounded by several layers of soul energy which is attracted to the Core. However, these layers are unable to merge with the Core as they are not emotionally balanced. They need to evolve and become competent to understand the Universal Knowledge. To enable this, Earth is one of the designated schools.
With help from the Core, these layers of soul energies are grouped further as soul tribes with varying knowledge levels. Spirit guides are appointed by the Core to oversee and help the growth of these tribes. Each soul tribe are broken down into multiple souls. And each soul chooses the lesson to be learnt for that lifetime. They are sent to Earth where they encounter various emotional situations and witness the result of the decisions they take. It involves a lot of trials and multiple lifetimes to pass the exams.
After a soul succeeds in the exams, it is eligible to merge with the Core. This final stage is defined in several spiritual theories. In Hinduism, it is referred to as Moksha.
Now, let’s come back to AI. Today, AI is an unreliable and imbalanced system, as it does not factor in the consequences of its decisions. So, let’s fix this ... by feeding it with the knowledge on the short and long term consequences of a decision.
This can change the game for us humans ;-).
